Card signed as President elect

Card signed as President elect, fine pen ink signature “Woodrow Wilson”. Card, 5.5 x 3.5 inch, 1912 November 30. Wilson’s signature underlined in another hand. Card is a fine vintage colour picture postcard of Government House, residence of the Governor of Bermuda. Dated 30th November 1912 in the hand of a collector and with further annotations to the verso. Post marked at Bermuda. Some very light, minor age wear, else fine. On November 5, 1912 Wilson won the presidential election against the Republicans divided between President William Howard Taft and ex-President Theodore Roosevelt, who ran for the Progressive Party. Lieutenant General Sir George Bullock (1851-1926) served as Governor of Bermuda from 1912-17.
